code readers
So took the car out for a spin today (-: and all seems normal, vtecs ok, but light still on.upgraded my Torque app and ordered the blue tooth reader, will let you know result, thanks for the help.
Can you use one of these to reset the Airbag warning light (for example) which happened to come on yesterday after some idiot (for example) removed the fuse because he wanted to (for example) use an "add a circuit" thingy to instal a dash camera?
Speaking hypothetically, obviously.

With the airbag/SRS light, try this:

Has worked for me in the past!

Thanks, I'll give that a try. How do people find out about "fixes" like this?? It's not exactly "Control-Alt-Delete" is it?

However, if the problem persists it will still throw an error!
If the issue is properly fixed, it will be gone forever!
I'm using the torque app as suggested by lovergroova above together with this OBD reader from Amazon:

Torque app + OBD II reader they are about a tenner, great investment if you ask me!
Thanks for the replies and advice - I've ordered the reader recommended above - at that price it would be rude not to.
As luck would have it I was near to the non-franchised dealer I bought the car from, so I went in and told the very helpful service manager that my airbag warning light had come on, and he very kindly plugged in his OBD reader and sorted it out for me.
