Congrats to all users--very on topic
Well a hearty congrats should go to all users/posters/guests/owners for a fantastic forum. Since purchasing an alternative make of car I thought it would be good to become active on the related forums for that marque.
Well I think they are all dead from the waist up, no jocularity, no real enthusiasm, just plain boring.
The exceptions are :--Pistonheads
Titanic
What input on our forum, a poll you say ?

The forum was one of the reasons I picked the S2000 from my initial shortlist.
I got close to going for a second hand TVR, but their forums are full of people asking how to fix things

I think S2ki is tops for several reasons:
1) Openness and enjoyment given by all
2) Helpfulness, especially considering the prang I've had and the way everyone came out to help in whatever way they could
3) Info and fun elements are just right.
Hurrah for all those involved

Without the forum I would not have had the confidence (or knowledge) to have bought one privately four months ago.
All the members seem like great people who genuinely want to help, and having met some personally at a Knockhill track day I am not disappointed. It just gives me another reason to feel that warm glow of ownership!
What a car, what a forum - although some members are a little misguided in thinking that anything other than silver/red is the fastest colour

None of my previous cars have inspired the degree of enthusiasm in me to look for an online forum, not even the MX5 which was great fun and has (so I found out after the event) quite a large onlien fraternity.
It's scary to think of how much information and advice I'd have missed out on had I not found s2ki. I'd also be substantially better off through never having heard of things like HKS, PRM, Zymol etc etc etc
The only real yardstick I have for comparison is the Honda Revolutions board - I just didn't find the atmosphere there as inviting as here. It seemed to be rather more heavily-moderated too. Admittedly, it has a much more general readership and is not S2000-specific like this board, but it just didn't "grab" me in the same way.
(That's no slight on Honda-R, by the way - just a personal observation. Sammy et al do a hell of a job in running Honda Revolutions)

Sammy (and it's a she!) is the driving force behind the Honda Revolutions board. She sometimes posts over here under the name UltraViolet.
Grab me? No-one's trying to grab me! You lot are stuck with me here!
