IV are you on the stock ECU?

I can't be sure if the fans were working before.
I think the thermostat is working as the car more or less hovers around 84c when cruising or booting it.
Right I checked the fan itself - i ran temp wires to the battery, it came on no suprise there. Checked the switch that seemed okay. I put the aircon, both the condensor and rad fan came on.
I took the car for a blast, and let her idle for about 7-8 minutes she finally reached 101c and the rad fan kicked in - i set off back home after this.
Now im confused, according to the s2000 service manual i downloaded, the rad fans should kick in @95c, so why 101c? - I dont think it load etc dependent/ECU/other parameters, possibly the fact the manual i have is for a US based market?. Other than that the car doesnt flucuate much and hovers around 84c which is good.
Maybe I'm thinking too much into this but the above point regarding 95c has thrown me TBH, at what does other peoples fans kick in at?
IIRC coolant boils at around 120c odd? and Rover used to kick in at 104/105c.
So i think its probably normal.

Possibly Steve
. I had a problem with the fuel pump not supplying enough fuel due to lack of juice when dyno'ing the SC install - it was fixed by running thicker wires to the fuel pump from the battery, so i could have a lurking grounding/wires problem.
101c doesnt seem a cause for concern (the fans did engage afterall), its got to be very hot and sitting in traffic for it to ever get that hot.

Sure, you'd go by the dash display still im glad i have the SG as it told me about the air in coolant (apart from the heater).
I questioned the accuracy of the SG but from writing my program on my mobile phone for the same thing it would only be a couple of degress out, the ECT is located on the block not (in a water blanket) not on the radiator piping etc (a common missconception).
