I've bought an OBD scanner on eBay last night and now I'm not sure if it's the right one, it says it's a U380 Diagnostic Scanner OBD2 EOBDII CAR Code Reader. My S is a 56 plate, loads of posts about scanners but none are very clear. Is there a plate or sticker someware on the car that states the OBD level?

 

IIRC that is an Orange one with two blue buttons?

Hi Mikey, looks like the same one, reson I asked is I saw talk of an enhansed OBD and changes to the 06 S functions, was your S an 06 onwards?

Oops, somthings not right, I can get the box to go through the start up sequence, it then displays "linking error" is it somthing I'm doing or is the U380 not compatable with my 56 plate?
I've tried holding the plug in firmly, turning the ignition on/off etc.
