Same old same old

My MY01 has alloys which are starting to let go, bubbles around centre cap, shot blasted on inside edge etc. So i phoned Drake and Fletcher Honda in Maidstone (my dealer) never heard of any extended Warranty on the alloys.
So i phoned Honda customer service, They told me the following.

"There is a TSB regarding Corroded Alloy wheels and there is a replacment scheme BUT its only for some VIN numbers" !

Has anyone seen or got a copy of this TSB ? The girl didnt have access to the system that holds them so could not tell me the full details..


BTW my Stock alloys have only seen 20k as there only on the car 4 months a year!

Mine was a 2001 Y and was done just prior to the 3 year warranty running out.

Several others have had theirs replaced after 3 years.

 

Mine was new in May 2003 (so standard 16" rims) and is having the wheels replaced under warranty next week (as they all have clearly visible corrosion in a number of places) - I can't see this being something that only affects cars of a certain VIN.
