Smile Could I ?

Annoying when this happens isn't it. Tyre is 6months old a few thousand miles and probably used 2mm of tread. Theaded part of the bolt is about 3mm, I've not yet taken it out but tyre was down to 9psi pumped up for the short trip home but has held pressure since.

Is it repairable?
Should I even bother?
Can I get away with just 1 rather than the pair (Gy Assyms)

Would have been mush happier if it was in a rear as they only have 3-4mm left so are getting towards end of life.

I wouldn't repair it even if they( Kwit Fit etc said it was ok), its in the edge on the shoulder, them little black bits of rubber are sort of important to keeping you safe.

But it is a right pain, and expensive. How you proceed is a bit of a Dilemma isnt it. it happened to me once with 5m left on rears I changed them both.

as you're name would suggest have you found the other 8 ?

j/k very unlucky m8e, had it happen to me too wouldn't trust a repair unless it was dead central in the tyre.

thats about where i had a nail in mine recently. i opted for 2x new tyres with about 6months left on them.

if i were you, depending how much tread has been worn away, got for 1 identical replacement tyre. looks like the tyres are still fairly new.

I've posted this several times before but I had this repaired on a one month old rear (by Kwikfit) and had no problems at all ...

Admittedly not as big as your bolt, but personally I'd give it a go ...

You must be bonkers driving on a tyre repaired there, I suppose you could sue them from your hospital bed!

IIWU, no. I'd be worried about the repair (despite other success stories) instead of being able to enjoy driving the S.
