Yeah I have to admit the creak doesn't seem 'bearingy' but that directionally influenced symptom is sounding bearingish

Cheers chaps - might see about getting it swapped over.

That said, it came on the day after I was under the car sprayin grease on the brake lines - and has been getting quiter with time?

Might just see how it goes, but not sure what I could have sprayed grease onto to create a noise?

You haven't got poly bushes in have you? Rhauri? They sound like a creaky bed when they have run out of grease.

A rotational creak from the rear axle is classic hub nut symptom.

Get a new hub nut, remove the old, get some grease on to the driveshaft splines (they'll be rusty), torque the hub nut up correctly and the noise will go.

https://www.s2ki.com/home/2012/09/21...ow-to-and-why/

I got the click with my first s2000 and torquing a new nut to 300nm fixed it.

The second s2000 i had from new and i started to get a creak as you describe. Then it went but i was pretty certain what the noise was so took it to honda. The hub nut hadn't been staked from new and was undoing itself!
