I don't see how a CTR can be more 'fun' to drive than an S2000 quite frankly.....

It can't - among many other reasons, it's wrong wheel drive.

However it depends on how you define 'driving';
Hooning around backstreets trying to impress the 14 year old girlfriend with the hoop earrings, the CTR would probably fit the bill better (and you're less likely to bin it).
Taking the perfect line around Paddock Hill Bend at Brands, knowing you couldn't have got it more right as you kiss the kerbing on the exit - give me the S2000 over a tuned shopping car any day.....

Depends on your definition of 'fun' really.....I think you will find 'fun' is a very broad church indeed!

Another thing I've read on here a lot is the S2000 takes a decent bit of skill to drive fast, I never found this, I drove it like I stole it from after the run-in period and never had any drama what so ever. Coming from FWD and 4WD and reading this bb I expected the change over to RWD a bit tricky, the S2000 was always an easy car to drive, the only thing to think about is not lifting mid bend when accelerating, that can cause problems.
I used be rough with the wheel and throttle, brakes in the dry. It

Having been in the car with Mark at Keevil (admittedly a different circuit without kerbs to speak of) I can attest to this totally. The sound and feeling, even as a passenger, is leagues ahead of any CTR experience I ever had.

In fact, I would rate it over my R34 in that field - top down, blasting it around on a track with the gorgeous engine note from the S... not much comes close to that imo.

Rightly or wrongly the S2000 requires a certain amount of skill to be driven quicker than something like a CTR or ATR. Some people can adapt their skill, and live with it, some can't but live with it.

And some as in Taz's case, can't live with the fact they can't drive it as quick, and therefor go on to sell it after 12 months.

I can't, but live with it
