Unfortunately my hood is succumbing to wear on the drivers side - a small abrasion has turned into a (currently) small wear-hole. Noticeable (just) from outside.
Mine had a thinned area, with a very small hole just starting. I healed the thinned area with a small patch of flexible black silicon sealant, and then covered that with sticky felt. Worked very well. Do you want pictures? Only works before breakthough or a very small hole - don't want the sealant to find its way through.

Change the roof, polish the wheels and dress the tyres, find a breaker with OEM 17s' get them refurbed and invest in some Bridgestones.

You can't get AD08s for 16" wheels (well, you can get fronts, but not the rears).

Get the roof done.

I thought Yoko were gonna do a huge range of sizes on the AD08s, especially since they're well-received.

That's a shame.

They do make them in the right sizes front and rear, but the only imported a few sizes to the UK. Camskill tell me they might be available later this year.

for all 4 as follows:

Yokohama Advan Neova AD08
2 x 225/50 R16 V (92 ) £285.00
2 x 205/55 R16 V (91 ) £220.22

You have not selected a fitting centre.
Order Total:£505.22

Whether they actually have them in stock might be a different matter.

A few folk have them (Dembo, Jayboy) and have made various reports. Here's some https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...=813424&st=100

Dembo informs us they are useless in the snow.

To answer the OP; I had the same situation/choice to make this time last year, and I opted for the roof. When I actually took the car for the replacement, Inoticed the small worn partch on the B pillar had actually grown quite quickly, and it vindicated my decision.
