Mine had a thinned area, with a very small hole just starting. I healed the thinned area with a small patch of flexible black silicon sealant, and then covered that with sticky felt. Worked very well. Do you want pictures? Only works before breakthough or a very small hole - don't want the sealant to find its way through.

 

Change the roof, polish the wheels and dress the tyres, find a breaker with OEM 17s' get them refurbed and invest in some Bridgestones.

 

I thought Yoko were gonna do a huge range of sizes on the AD08s, especially since they're well-received.

That's a shame.

 

They do make them in the right sizes front and rear, but the only imported a few sizes to the UK. Camskill tell me they might be available later this year.

 

Oh, hold on, apparently Blackcircles have them £505 + fitting.

Dembo informs us they are useless in the snow.

 

To answer the OP; I had the same situation/choice to make this time last year, and I opted for the roof. When I actually took the car for the replacement, Inoticed the small worn partch on the B pillar had actually grown quite quickly, and it vindicated my decision.
