Diamond Cut refurb costs

Diamond Cut refurb costs
I am looking at getting my second set of wheels refurbished properly, but am not exactly spoilt for choice (in S Wales).
The one place I did find came in at £500 which I think is a tad pricey, but happy for you to tell me to stop being a tight ar5e!
What's the going rate in your area?

Local guys to me quoted £380.00 for a set of 4, when I enquired a week or so ago. They are Paintit UK Ltd/01277 634968.
I've not used them myself yet but will probably do so soon. I have seen examples of their work, including a friends X5.
They have various colour options aswell as diamond cutting. They do send the wheels away for the diamond cut part of the re-furb which is common these days as you need an expensive lathe, which few furbishers have.
Worth giving them a try.
PS: If you mention the guy with the grey S2K he'll have an idea of the wheels.

If you can do without your wheels for a few days then Rimstock so some of the best work in the country. They'll collect from you for £20 too.

Pristine wheels in Milton Keynes (good reputation) quoted me £68 per wheel, plus an additional fee (£12 per wheel, I think) to remove and replace the tyres.
Still undecided whether to go diamond cut or powder coated - as the general consensus on here seems to be that diamond cut isn't a long lasting finish.

I had my wheels powdered coated black then diamond cut by Pristine Wheels. The initial result was very good, but after a couple of years the laquer has started peeling in several places, which I think is a result of stone chips. I'm thinking about getting them re-done, but just going for a straight powder coating this time. I wouldn't consider diamond cutting any wheel again after my experience.

Awesome - thanks for the replies. Looks like it will be cheaper to send them away then!
£500 is nearly £200 more than some quotes! I am guessing the cheaper quotes are those with the lathe to do the job themselves...

Their costs are on the site - just add up all the options you want.

Examples of what they do:

Personally I would stay away from the diamond cut unless you want to get them refurbed every year!
