Default Door Differences PFL vs FL / What's this part do?

Hi all,

Can't find anything documented on this but run into an issue where the door internals seem to be slightly different between a facelift and a non facelift.

Annoyingly only replacing my door as I thought it'd be easier than fixing the dents, what a mistake that was!

For clarity my car is a facelift and the new door I got for it is a non-facelift.

The biggest issue seems to be an extra plug/switch on the back of the lock on my old door that isn't there (nor on the loom) for the new door. It's held on with a phillips screw. Part 39 in the below image;

Hondapartsnow also seems to imply that this is now discontinued... What did it do? The one on my old door snapped when trying to pry it off.

Finally, with the loom swapped over (excl the above mentioned plug) the door doesn't lock. Guessing it's either related to the above or I need to swap the actuator off my old door.

99% of me wants to just refit the wing mirror and loom etc to the old door and put that back on instead & then pack off to the bodyshop. Still got the issue of whatever that sensor/switch is though.

Thanks,
Alex

Not tried bridging the loom to be fair. No idea what this missing connector is supposed to do though and/or if it might be affecting things.

Actuators look identical and the plugs fit perfectly from memory. May try swapping the actuators but I think I may have snapped a bit of plastic off the old one with the rods etc
