Default Drivers side window problem closing (slow)

I've bee having an issue since yesterday where the drivers side window is going up really slowly. Sometimes it seems there is not
enough power or too much friction to get it to the top closed position. It will then stop about an inch from the top and automatically go back down.

If I open the door and operate it to go up with a little assistance from myself pulling the glass up it will get to the top.

I've tried searching for a reason but there is nothing solid. Could parts of the assembly/guide or rubbers just need lubricating ?

Cheers
Zen

Sounds like an 'auto down' feature if a child puts their arm in the way. The friction it's encountering makes it think something is blocking its way so it opens up. I'd get the inner door panel off and have a look to see it the guides are dry of grease, or if they've moved etc.

Hit it with a good dose of GT85 spray down the center runner, the rubber guide and tried to get some into the cable housing.
Seems to have done the trick.

Thanks all

If it's anything like an NSX (likely, since they come from the same place) the nylon cable guides eventually wear (get sawn by the steel cables) and friction increases. Which can kill your motor.

It might be worth replacing them.
