Probably just needs a reset, wind down as far as they will go, hold the down button down for 5 seconds longer, then up and hold it at the top for 5 seconds. Should work ok now, if not, repeat.

This isnt just an S problem, had the same issue on my Alfa

Mine does this periodically - not sure why, but it may be going back down if it meets some kind of resistance.

Try it with the door open and see if it replicates itself.

I had this problem when i bought mine, just opened the door each time it happened.
But then when i picked it up from being serviced the guy said he'd noticed that the window was slow to wind up and had taken a look. I think it was the runners or something, but he said they'd dried up so the motor was struggling. Now they've been greased it works much better and quicker and i've never had the problem since.

The garage was John Dandy in Gloucester and they were brilliant, charged me very little extra for the window too.
