Default EBC yellowstuff

I ordered a full set of front and rear EBC yellow stuff pads for my MY2002 s2000 and was fitting them yesterday only to notice the rear pads don't really appear to match.

Two of the pads have handbrake pips at the top, two don't. One of the ones with a pip (little dimple at the top of the outside edge of the pad where it meats the piston) has a screech clip, where as neither of the pads without the pips have a clip.

Has anyone fitted yellowstuff pads to the rears noticed which they got? The guy from EBC brakes shop reckons it's normal but I don't think this looks right (surely all pads would either have pips or not have them at all and why only the one clip).

The two with the pips are the inside ones (the "pip" goes into the groove of the cross on the piston). And the clip is the low pad audible warning, which also goes on the inside. It'd be better to have two, but one isn't a problem.

So yes that's fine.

I've got yellowstuff on my rears.

Sweet, now why didn't they just say that?! Now I'll have to wait for a break in the rain to refit the rears! grrrr...

That said.. this is what added to my confusion.

The diagram seems to suggest that the pips should be on both piston and fixed side?

ok, just had this confirmed from EBC staff too.

I guess the diagram is misleading!

Cheers for the replies guys. Adds to my peace of mind. I'm looking forward to seeing if these hold up to the track use over the last set of cheap pagids I used.
