Is your car JDM or UKDM?

Chris.

You will still need the immobilizer key/fob with a Mugen ECU.
Depends on the car.

If the car was a UK suplied car then the chances are it will have the POS alarm installed.

If it is a Euro or a JDM import the chances are that it wont.

killasystems, how old is your car and do you know it's origin.

Guys I was talking about the UK model, sorry for not making that clear, I was trying to be non-specific for security.

The fault code he has, has nowt to do with the ECU being buggered though.

I am still totally confused at why you are battling to try an ECU when you should be looking to find the fault you have.

The logic of having a repeating fault code, so just replace the ECU, isn't the way to go.

Ah, ok that is indeed a Honda specific code, I was using a generic list which pointed to air leak / vac solenoid.

Happily admit i'm wrong

What I would say is maybe check the loom though.

I'd also find out the reply to Chris' question on whether the car is a JDm or UK, and if the ECU is JDM or UK.

If it was an immob fault, would it start at all?

I can see that you are practicing to become a CO by skim reading the threads .... just like Mike has started doing.

IIRC The early cars didn't come with the POS Honda UK alarm.

Do you know what sort of alarm you have on the car?
