Default ECU Reset ?

Having made a recent S2K purchase I have been treating my S to tankfulls of Optimax. I understand it is a "learning ECU" and will learn to use the benefit of the higher octane petrol to provide more power and better driveability.

Having had a Scoob in the past, the story with these was that it also learnt your driving style. There was a procedure to reset the ECU, then you would brim it with Optimax and then thrash the nuts off it for a while !

Is this the same in the S and is there any advice out there on getting the best from the standard ECU ?

Cheers

Same really, ECU will learn quite quick. Its the same theory knock control the ECU uses - less of an issue with an NA car though, and its designed to run on 98 anyway.

MB - fellow multiple scoob owner

PS - scoob ECU's dont learn you're driving style - thats reserved for high end german stuff They learn fuel quality etc, as per most cars.
