Eibach Spring question
There's nothing wrong with the Eibachs, but when i bought them, I specifically asked the guy between Tein and Eibach, which ones lower the most, he looked on the net and came back saying the Eibachs. Having looked into it more now, it's clear he was wrong and the Teins lower it more.
I prefer the look the Teins give, so I'm looking to get them changed over.

I can't remember which user has the swift springs, but he was at the first drive out meet of the year thing where we hooned to Broadstairs with the pistonheads lot.
If I remember rightly, he has a Spa yellow S with light front end damage, his grill was missing and he had a scuff in the N/S front wing.
Edit- you know what?, now i think about it, he may have said Spoon springs.

Here is a before and after on mine with the stock 16" wheels cilcky
I fit the 17" Volk's after and took the car to CG to get the geo. and the seized bushings done. When I got the car back from the geo. it was lower. One thing that Chris told me was that when you lower the car on springs you must also loosen the wishbone bolts to let the bushings come back into line. iIf you don't do this you will stretch the bushing and hold the car higher than it should be.
I am very happy with the Tein's they are not much stiffer than stock, give the car a nice drop have never bottomed out no matter how bad the road is (and they are bad over here). Does the car handle better? well I got 17" wheel's, new tyres and the geo. done around the same time and the differance was massive but to be honest I don't think the spring's made much differance.

Absolutely, a lot of people seem to have overlooked this point.
You should slacken ALL the wishbone pivots and adjusting bushes and retighten with the car sat in it's new lower stance.
Or all you have done is wound the rubber bushes up a little so all the time they are stressed.
This can make the car look taller as they are so stiff they resist the cars natural tendency to settle onto the springs when at rest.
Lowering will also toe all the wheels out (bad) so you need to correct that.
