Hello folks.
Had a bit of time off work this week, so I decided to go on a bit of a road trip.
The better half wanted to go to London to visit friends and do some shopping, so i packed her off on the bus on Friday night. Now I have the car & the " top down fun button " all to myself.
( Is it all women who moan about thier hair being ruined or just my wife? )
Set off on Saturday morning from Lands End. Sun was out so the top was put down for the start of the trip.
Booted it like hell, 70 miles per hour of coarse officer, and made Carlisle by 6 o clock. Somewhere on the M5 thier are 4 pages of route maps which were blown out of the car, dam.
Sunday decided to go the A90 route. Got just outside of Dundee and the heavens opened. Thank god that roof is quick. I could of drowned you know!
Stay in the Travel Inn in Elgin that night. Thanks to the staff for thier hospitality and the Lager!
Monday morning headed up to Aberdeen, Inverness and on to John O Groats. Arrived around lunch time after sampling the delights of the A9-A99. Wow thats a fun road.
Hung around and had my photo taken, then decided to leg it back down the A9. Reaching Perth by late evening.
Tuesday. Headed down the road and decided to call into Blackpool for a couple of days. What has happened to the place? It was deserted. Truro would of been busier on a tuesday night!
Thursday. Made the run back to Lands End.
A total of 1906 miles on the clock. A sore mouth from ginning so much, and a sore head from forgeting to put my hat on yesterday.
Official End To End photographs will be posted when I recieve them through the post, and I have checked that I dont look like a grinning idiot in any of them.
