Engine fault light
Been to a Bedford trackday today.
I managed to spin whilst with the instructor (so I blame him
). I didn't hit the clutch in time to stop it stalling, and it took a minute to get going again. After that the engine fault light came on, and still is.
I carried on, and for a few more session after that, and it's running fine.
Is this a get Honda to reset it thing, or is there likely to be an actual problem?

My car was idling roughly in traffic and almost stalled, the CEL came on and would not go off, dealer reset it and said the code indicated that cylinder 1 had misfired. I guess your stall might have caused a similar condition.

The CEL can come on with a spin. How many miles you done since?
What it could be (and purely guess work here without being able to get diagnostics codes)
If you span, stalled the engine and didn't hit the clutch you could have mechanically driven the engine backwards. Since it probably wasn't a sustained thing it shouldn't have caused anything serious but it may well have been enough to confuse the ECU and cause the MIL to come on.
Try an ECU reset (think the procedures on here somewhere). If it stays off you're probably ok. If it comes back get it checked properly

I'd back fluffy's theory. I spun my scooby at 90mph and had her going backwards at 50mph whilst still in 4th gear with both my feet firmly on the brake and my left hand thumbing through the good book. The diffs were NOT happy! The car didn't run so well for a few days but I got it checked out by Subaru and it was given the all clear. It slowly returned to normal

I was going to get it a Honda service pretty soon anyway, so guess I'll try to get that done next week.
I span the S at Bruntingthorpe, CEL came on, exactly the same, reset the ECU and all should be fine.
As above, if a problem then it will come back on, but given the circumstances I would agree that it was just caused by the spin and exhaust gases / engine spinning wrong way.
