Default Engine Warning Light

This morning when driving to work the engine warning light came on the dash. The car was fine and driving normally though. I'm hoping that this was due to the cold as it was very cold this morning with a lot of frost and it's an emissions issue.

What do you think? The search function is broken at the moment so I can't check it. If it's an emissions issue will the light go off by iuts self or will I have to get lubed up by Honda?

If it's a blip then it will go away in about 20 miles or so, if the ECU is happy that all is well again.

If not then it will stay on.

To avoid Honda charges, you cany buy your own OBDII code reader for about £30. I use a Geniscan GS300.

It's best to find out what the code is though.

Hmm, i'll have to get one of those. Had one for my old Clio Sport, quite useful.

Hopefully it will go away though.. I remember really cold days used to affect lamda readings on my old car.

I've just had to order a reader too, was hoping the paperclip trick would work, but it seems not on a UKDM car as there is no connection in PIN 9 on the ODB2 port
