Erk! Roof bobbing when retracted!!!
While pulling up a dual carrigeway this afternoon and hitting the speed limit, I noticed that my roof was bobbing up and down!
Now, I was going quite fast, it was windy, and the road surface was very uneven but I havent noticed this before. It was being buffeted up and down two or three inches!?!?!?
Obviously official response would be "But sir, you should be fitting the toneau cover"...
Anyone noticed this?

At one of the meets recently (which I didn't attend, I recall that it was noticed that there were variations in how low the roof sat when retracted. I think it can be adjusted. I havent't experienced this bobbing thing myself. Whether this has any bearing on your problem I don't know. Hope this helps.

Yeah - I was at that meet Cedric.
Thanks Comp - I checked it was fully lowered and it was. I'll have a look tomorrow to see if it is "loose" when lowered.

There is a Honda US TSB on how to adjust this, and I have approval from Honda UK for a dealer to do this - but my 'warranty' visit to Geo Collins Honda turned into a bit of an epic - clutch was replaced fine, but the updated alignment settings (non warranty work) I asked then to put on the car ended up taking 8 days. There was not time to do the roof fix on this visit!
I am not whinging about Geo Collins here - they had not done an S2000 alignment before, and rather than rush / bodge it,they sought proper technical advice from both Honda and Sun (who make the alignment equipment) and ultimately did a good job.
