EU compliant exhaust
i want to get aftermarket dual exhaust to free up few ponnies and let the engine breath easier.
a quite one.
the problem is that our local MOT require compliance with EEC or KBA.
what exhausts that you know comply with those?

Hi Croc, which country is "local" for you? The only exhaust I know that is "EU compliant" and that some owners have managed to get through the German TUEV rules is the Supersprint. According to the German forum it's "quiet but louder than stock and sounds good".

i'm from Israel and our MOT is completely crazy - anything non OEM has to be approved (doesn't matter if it's quite and pass smog test).
looks to me like i just will take my chances and go for Invidia Q300 from USA - which is not too much money to gamble on and not too noisy to avoid unnecessary attraction...

i can do this.
it's cheaper and easier for me to go to MOT station that doesn't mess with the crap but focus on safety and important points.
the problem is with police and their tech inspectors who can prohibit the car to be used untill "the fault" is fixed.
i have a friend whos Evo8 was prohibited to use due to "non standard pedals" - the inspector insisted that aluminum pedal overlays are non-OEM and should be removed before the car is allowed go back to the road.
needless to say those are 100% OEM and this is how car came from the factory
