Default Even pricier Optimax ...

I guess it was inevitable :

LONDON (Reuters) - Motorists already suffering from some of the highest petrol prices in the world will start the New Year paying even more as the wholesale market hit a 15-month high.

Prices have been driven upwards by increased fears of a U.S.-led war on oil producer Iraq and by a month-long strike stopping shipments from the world's fifth largest exporter Venezuela, which shows no sign of ending.

Pump prices in Britain are already inflated by government taxes that make up around 80 percent of the total. The average price is moving up 1.5 pence to 75.5 pence a litre, industry experts said.
