Default Extended warranty

In dispute with the warranty company again - seems to happen on every claim

Just wondered if anyone has used any other company than Honda for extended warranty and if so what were the costs and how easy was it to claim??

Suspect I'm stuck with it but just thought I'd try my luck

I think you'll find a lot of resistance to making a claim whichever extended warranty company you use. The difference with the Honda Extended Warranty is that, unlike the others, it is not insurance. It is a guarantee provided by Honda UK and administered by Aon. Aon are the people who make claiming difficult. If you are having hassle with a claim you can always make a nuisance of yourself with HUK to get them to pay out (because a claim is ultimately their responsibility and their "reputational risk"), but this wouldn't be an option with somebody else's warranty.

If you are going to buy extended warranty I think you should stick with the Honda scheme.

I was thinking of extending the warrenty when the S2000 arrives (only 10-12 weeks), so I think I will stick to the Honda warranty.

After reading the Horror story posted by Rapscallion (10/10/06) i'm seriously thinking about
buying a warranty!
Anybody know what i can expect to pay for the Honda scheme, i also presume its a yearly thing?

Cheers

There is a very helpful chap called Davey_2 on here who can help you with a discount on the extended warranty if you are a UK club member. There are a few criteria, so not everyone is able to get an extended warranty, but he is very helpful and efficient and works for Honda.

It is probably worth sending him a PM and seeing what he can do.

Cost varies depending on where you go/who you ask.

PM Davey_S - he sorted mine out at a good price, works for Brayley Honda.
