I've now got the car and extended the warranty for a further 4 years. I think the dealer can only do this with a brand new car bought from them.

7 year warranty? is that a Honda warranty all the way or does it change after the normal 3 years?

3 years manufacturers warranty + 4 years Extended Guarantee.

Muttley - you can sign up to an Extended Guarantee at any Honda dealer at anytime . The maximum age for a vehicle at the guarantee inception is 8 years.

Yes it is the Honda extended warranty, there is quite a cost saving to be made if you extend the warranty when purchasing the car from new.
I also get seven years full Honda recovery and breakdown service.
As I intend to keep the car for a while it made sense to me.
