Default Can I still get an extended warranty?

well, i do have a couple of question about extended warranty, please give me a hand on them:

1) is it true that i can purchase the honda care extended warranty before the 3yr factory warranty expires?

2) can i still get the honda care extended warranty if i have cancelled the extended warranty before?

3) if i can purchase extended warranty before the factory warranty expires, must i be the 1st owner? (or the 2nd owner can do that as well)

4) where to get cheap(er) honda care extended warranty? (with the help of members of s2ki?)

5) is there any other company that will provide extended warranty besides honda care?

6) i know this is totally subjective, but do you think extended warranty worth it?

thanks so much!

1. yes
2. probably
3. don't think so

5. yes, I have mine through Universal Underwriters. they are the biggest one and there are others. DO RESEARCH FIRST! Some are totally worthless. Covered equipment varies from one to another company; if it is not listed, it is NOT covered.
6. I thought a powertrain warranty would be good as it takes care of the engine, tranny, diff, and axles. I didn't think it was worth it for the other stuff as this IS a Honda Replacement of a diff alone can be a few thousand bucks.

Since we're on the subject, is the years and mileage of an extended warrenty go from the date of purchase? or from when the original warrenty started? I know some companies offer a 5 year extended warrenty but it starts from the date of the original warrenty, so basically you're only buying a two year warrenty.
(Sorry to hi-jack your thread but I'm in the same boat as you )
