You have one of the last ones with very low miles. If you look after it,it will last you as long as you want, but just don't drive it on as boring roads/occasions. Mine is off the road all winter, when it comes out again in the Spring it feels like its a new car again. Keep it for special trips/vtec moments and your love should continue. Club events with fellow owners help too. Just a few words that have helped my ownership.

I still love the car for what it was/is!! In this modern era, is there anything like it around as much fun when youre thrashing it in vtec?? It still has a raw, minimalistic feel.

a track day or early morning blast should rekindle the fire... if it doesn't, move on.

would be a shame to resent such a car and deprive someone else of the enjoyment.

£16k might be optimistic though.... I've seen some very optimistic prices on PH lately, can't believe people are parting with £15k for one when similar aged Boxsters are often seen for less, not suggesting they are better, merely people might think they are because of the badge .

There aren't that many folk that really 'value' the S (present company excluded of course!) compared to general folk that would pick the porker 9... and those in the 'know' seem to be afraid of the later models now.

£16k was only a guess based on a couple for sale with dealers on Auto Trader recently; thought it seemed optimistic too. Tried We Buy Any Crap just out of curiosity (never looked at it before), which offered £12,375.

I do dread trying to sell it, given the paranoia about 09 engines, although touch wood mine hasn't shown any signs of the problem. Didn't you have a a GT100?

Last couple of days the rain has gone (it's back now though), so a couple of trips home with the top down have begun to remind me why I loved it. No blind spots and all the rattles miraculously disappear!

Not thought about tracking it, kind of think I shouldn't with it being one of the limited editions, but on the other hand is it really that special if kept standard and off track?

There's a supercharger going on the charity auction at MM10 - that'll change your opinion of the car / fall back in love with it when you've got 400+bhp under your right foot

You really should track it, you cant fail to rekindle that amazement at such a superb machine. Another thing take the air box lid off and listen to that induction sound, will bring a big grin to your face.

And yes. Race track is fun. I did it a lot but costs were too high for me once you start going often
