A few problems.
As for the Alarm you should have a dual sensor, so if you set the alarm whilst in the car, then move around a bit, you should easily trigger the interior sensor and the alarm will go off. Then reset the alarm, and set it again from outside. You can then test the exterior sensor by getting close to the side windows (had people looking through my side windows outside PC World and the Alarm was scaring the @*!? out of them) or the rear window (had someone poking that to see if it was glass in the Tesco car park and the alarm was beeping at them) or on the bonnet (I wiped a bit of dust off and it beeped at me) My sensors seem to do a great job, they are keeping people for getting too close for too long, without giving off any false alarms.
Or you can test the Alarm itself by just setting it then opening the door with the key..... I wouldn't do any of these at night though, the neighbours might not be too happy.

thx z, will do.
boshek : I am not 100% happy with my alarm from the fitters, once I solve a few niggles I can determine if the fitters are at fault or if it's just a configuration issue. Will know by Saturday and report then.
