Not that I condone this sort of behaviour of course

I thought there would be one or two - but that's quite a catalog of different camera styles.

Great site !

Good point, Graham.

Conversely. I've seen a couple of programmes on sat TV about dangerous drivers recently - showed Max Power style racing and dangerous antics in clapped out bangers with lots of spoilers, Brighton was featured for some of it.

It cut to a copper who's attitude was that they couldn't do much about it. Surely an appropriately-located camera would do the job nicely ?
Isn't that what the damned things are supposed to be for ?

I bloody hate speed cameras. If the government spent more money improving tarmac conditions, removing blind junctions, improving signs (or adding grippy tarmac) on bad bends, and traffic calming measures in areas where there needed (i.e. high streets and outside schools). Then they may get tangible safety results. BUT THAT WOULDN'T MAKE ANY MONEY.
