Default Finally on the road!!

My Tax disk and documents came back from the DVLA on Saturday so i'm finally on the road. It's been a long and drawn out process importing the S from Japan but well worth it. So if you see a Siliverstone/Black import in the Wimbledon / Cheam area it's probably me! If it's not raining the top will be down and there will be a massive grin on my face.

I drove nearly 500 miles at the weekend and was really impressed how it drove on the motorway, it was a lot more comfortable than I thought it would be. The engine is awesome, it looks great (everyone seems to look at it, which takes a bit of getting used to).

I can highly recommend bringing in a used S from Japan, there is money to be saved and cars are generally low mileage (mines done 17000 - not bad for a 99 car).

Unfortunately I didn't pass any other S2000's I was looking forward to flashing the lights and giving a wave

see you around

cheers

Alistair

Well Alistair,
If you see a yr2000 Silver/Red leather in the same neck of the woods, that'll be me - and also sporting a similarly large grin. I just got mine last week as well.
Enjoy!

P.S. I recommend one late night that you take it through the Picadilly underpass in first gear and hold the revs at 8500, with the roof down. Words cannot express it, it is beyond sensational! You will probably find yourself emerge from the tunnel laughing uncontrolably.

That, and the Limehouse Link (careful of the SPECS cameras), and the Blackwall Tunnel, and the Hatfield Underpass and the....

We should arrange a micro-convoy of London-based S2000s all progressing through said underpass at 8500rpm. I reckon you'd be able to hear it from Green Park.
