Thanks for the insight.
All UK cars are technically "AP1" as they all have the 2.0l engine which revs to 9,000rpm. The US got a 2.2l engine (AP2) in 2004 and Japan got that in 2006.

In the UK there were 6 versions based on model year (MY00, MY02, MY04, MY06 and MY08) - they all have different wheels as well as cosmetic and chassis/suspension equipment changes.

MY04 was the facelift that matches the AP2 in looks of the US cars, so anything newer than that is known as a "facelift"
*Mind blown*

I'm obviously going to have to do some follow up reading.

You mentioned all UK cars are 00,02,04,06 & 08. According this ad It's an 09... in the UK.

Either thats a US car thats been imported over or it's techincally not an 09?

09 is the same as 08
07 is the same as 06
05 is the same as 04
and so on.

There was also the GT100 limited edition, which was released in 09 and was limited to 100 cars.

That one is missing its original wheels/has had them swapped for the wheels from an MY06/7 car.

There was a limited edition (x100) in the last year. I don't this is one of them. Wrong wheels and the kick plate (I think it stated limited edition on it) - correct me if I'm wrong.

Edit: just noticed it does say 0051 on the kick plate, so it probably is limited edition.

The Technical FAQ and ReadMeFirst posts are well worth grabbing a coffee and working through. Lots of really useful info in there, although it won't give LG the chance to shine.

Trust me, after a few months of ownership and membership here, this will all be second nature. As will searching the FS section for the mods you think you don't want right now

It's probably going to be an eye opener to reflect back in a few months time on my first post, isn't it?

I'm pretty sure there will be face palm going on.
