Default First S2000, first points

Hi all,

Had my licence for 14 years without so much as a parking ticket. Got myself an '04 Royal Navy blue GT and within 2 months I picked up my first 3 points

I was have a quick play on the cat and fiddle (great road between Macclesfield and Buxton). I'm not sure if the new average speed cameras work, but the bike cop with the gun does.

No complaints, 66mph in a 50. Policeman very polite, as I was with him. We both knew why I was up there and that I would have been going a lot quicker if I was being an idiot so no lecture, fixed penalty, £60, 3 points. Bit disappointed but hey, my fault.

Anyway, Hi all!

p.s. Any clues on what this'll do to my premium (just wrong side of 30)?

My ( just ended ) 3 point's made no difference to my premium's

I know what you mean about driving S2k

When I'm in my C30 I use the cruise control to keep religousley to the posted speed limit

In the 'S' no comment ( note to self : must slow down )

Encouraging news about insurance, cheers!

Ran a WRX for a couple of years without any issues, although I didn't really just go out for a drive that often. I'd come from an MR2 and was missing the RWD.

Loving the S2K though. Still drove back with a smile on my face, just a bit slower!

There is just something about the exhaust noise that makes you want to hear more of it

Welcome also

That right there is the problem.......probably the best known bikers road in the whole country I would be more surprised if there wasn't a cop with a speed gun along there

Yep, pretty stupid really. It regularly comes top of the most dangerous roads, so it's always bound to be watched... and I should have been expecting him...

It is a GREAT road though!!

SPECS cameras on there now, so no need.

Although, the positioning leaves something to be desired
