Default The Flamed Muz Mats Post

See this thread is going to be deleted, it a shame, the guy had an opinion and most people disagreed with him, but dont see why it should be deleted?

Seems to me to be unneccessary censorship

If you can't have a moan on here, then a lot of the posts need to be deleted

for example all of the moans about Honda UK, the Honda dealers, traffic cops etc.... or is the difference that they are not board sponsors?

Thought the value of an internet community was across the board honest conversation and sharing of opinions on S2K stuff with some OT stuff

(putting my flame proof suit on now)

That's why I'm asking for objections. Several people have asked for the thread to be deleted (not all of them against gdg either BTW), but I'm unsure as to whether this course of action would be right.

It's not the Muz-mat issue I'm concerned with preserving, rather the "reasoned argument / toys out the pram" element

Agreed, why should you be able to complain about other companies and the service you have received but not be able to complain about site sponsors, he might not have gone about it very well, but I remember a post about Muz I made a while ago as well.
If you are not happy with something, no matter what it is, why should you not be able to voice your concerns.

I think you've trodden a pretty even-handed line so far, Pete. I deliberately steered clear of posting since I didn't think I could really add very much to what was being said. I've got Muz mats and I happen to like mine, but I can see that others might have a different view.....

The thread is now locked. I'd be inclined just to leave it where it is, to head off any kind of suggestion that Muz is getting preferential treatment as a sponsor in having the thread deleted. It will very quickly fall off the front page of the board and will be forgotten in a few days.

Pete, you might want to PM cthree and see whether you get a complimentary free kevlar flak jacket as part of your moderator "starter pack"

It would make the S look positively economical - I think Tiffany Dell said on the recent review he did of the civilian version of the Humvee on 5th Gear that he was getting 6mpg!

If/when you swap your S, maybe you should consider going for Nuremberg Trials blue to go with your dapper pale blue beret!

If you REALLY want an answer to that question, you should post a separate thread with a poll in it, Col!
