Yep, something to do with airflow, though I don't know the specifics.

I ran my car without them after they got lost when the car was resprayed and I can't say I noticed any difference.

For the information of anyone who does the same as I did, and wants to keep these air deflector thingies on, I ordered the wheel arch liner/deflector retainer today at a cost of £86.80 including VAT.

I didn't think that was too bad at all tbh.

I got mine from a main dealer for £127

Are dealer's down south bigger thieves than up north ?

They reduce air pressure infront of the tyres adding downforce at high speed, removing them wil alter the handling, remove the front ones and the front becomes "skitish". remove the back ones........At your peril the S2000 back end is already lively enough.
OK if you are an auto aerodynamics expert and are adding difusers, modified front lip etc and know what you are doing, but taking them off because you don't like the look of them is like taking a dislike to brake calipers and getting rid.

No not quite, but you get my point? Just because you don't know what they are there for dosn't make them disposable, they are there for a very good reason. And you could find in the case of an accident insurers(even more)unwilling to pay out it they are missing.

Repair it with JB Weld or somesuch.

And yes, it's best not to piss about with aerodynamic addenda you don't fully understand.

Avondale Honda in Coventry. Conveniently just down the road from where my girlfriend lives.

I like the fact you look on Bicester (as it's showing as my location) as being 'up north'
I s'pose it is north of Watford (just)!

But seriously, I do find things in Coventry generally cheaper than where I live, only 45 miles south.
It is worth phoning around to a few Honda dealers, as for some reason prices do seem to vary
