Or, look at it the other way (this is a favourite rant after a few pints of 6X down the local):-
The S2000 is so good for the money, that whenever they do one of these 'comparison tests' it doesn't go up against it's direct price rivals (TT, SLK, Z3) - it always goes up against cars costing much more when new.
I'd call that a result really

True, MarkB.
Its just a pity that Joe Public now believes the S2000 is "an attempt at a cheaper Boxster".
I thought the to$$er presenter was desperately trying to pursuade the guy to choose the Boxster (which he couldn't afford anyway) - it was just stupid getting him to test drive the Boxster S when all he could afford was the standard. Surely they could have got him a 2.5 to try !
Why didn't they just have an NSX in place of the S2000 then suggest he buys the S2000 ? It would have been fairer !

I wonder if they could get a shot of 50 of us, with Vtec's echoing around into the valley?

I came in late today otherwise I would have started this thread myself. I was spitting nails when I watched this. .
It was a refreshing review from a biased bloke with no idea of what the S2000 is ("built as a cheap roadster" - errm sorry what happened to the S2000 being designed and purpose built from scratch - did Honda make that up ?) also Im sorry but I cant call the car that cost me 28K "cheap", otherwise surely everyone would be driving one.
The last thing I have ever thought while driving the S is that it felt "cheap" or that the build quality was low. What a bunch of tw@ts. Im sorry but the guy buying the car didnt deserve an S2000 anyway, did you hear the engine go into VTEC even once ?. I could definitely be described as biased towards the S2000 but Im glad the illustrious Kevin didnt buy one.
Its scary to think some people can set themselves up on a cable/sat TV show when they have such a lack of understanding of the subject matter they present about.
Still at least it keeps us exclusive I guess. Im off to eat worms.
