How the heck did you know that I was going to post a new subject asking how I can fit a bike rack without risking damaging my lovely bodywork ( the Honda's body not mine )?

I use a rack on my employer supplied beater wich has left scuff marks but I'm not bothered.
I suppose a boot rack would take the weight, being secured by clips on the edge of the bonnet thus not marking the surface. But I have to lift the bike onto it and may damage the bodywork with the protruding pedals.
A tow bar and then bike attachment does not appeal.

But never thought of a folding bike - but my mountain bike is so comfortable I don't want to replace it.
Should I get a test ride on a folding bike before I dismiss the idea?
