Default Front Number plates

I currently have the OEM No. plate plinth and a GB plate on my pre-facelift, but would like somthing thats less of an eye sore, but whilst looking OEM.

Any pics of what other people have done? What do they look like with the plinth removed and the no. plate fixed directly to the bumper?

Pictures please people!

Was your car stolen the other day?

I thought I saw it but I couldn't be sure because the number plate was too small to read....

That looks tidy, and much better than the stock big mount. I liked the no plinth look in this thread too: https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/101...0/page__st__50

I think thats the route I will go.

GreenmanS2000 - No, I dont want anything smaller than standard font plate and font, although probably phyically slightly shorter as I may trim the GB section off. Just want it to be less intrusive. It has to look OEM and be legible.

I'll see if I can find a pic, but I just have a standard plate on the front without the plate mount. Don't forget that with a smaller plate you'll see the mounting holes for the plinth. I wouldn't mind a slightly smaller one (standard font, but smaller plate) but haven't been bothered yet.

The front plate is legal. There's no specification for overall size, only character spacing, font and border - plus the BS number too.

Removed the plate holder, smoothed front bumper, et voilà...

UK bike font (-12mm smaller) and I've cut the plate length down (within DVLA requirements) - no MOT or 5-0 issues ever.
