Fumes Inside Car
Last couple of journeys I've noticed a smell of petrol/fumes inside the car. Not very nice at all.
Cars has done nearly 70,000 miles on a Sept 2000 plate.
Performance is normal, had a full Honda service in September with no problems spotted.
Any thoughts on this one - has any one else had this problem?
Thanks
Ceri

Back to the dealer and get them to run the engine (with revving) while its on the lift. Chances are it's a loose pipe connection.
Note, IIRC the petrol pipe runs behind a plastic cover underneath the car, so it may be difficult to detect.

A daft one, but check your oil cap is on.
The oil cap had come off - oil was erupting and burning on the hot engine and thus smelling. Gentlemen I am in your debt. Thank you from an idiot.

I'd say it's a hole in your exhast or a poor join in it. There's a warning section in the handbook about fumes in the car, and that's what it suggests as the cause. Along with taking it to your dealer straight away!
