I've got a Moroso oil pan baffle arriving prior to taking my S2K out on track. I was intending on removing the sump on my drive, cleaning and taking to a local place to weld it before refit, but reading through some of the thread it seems like trekking over to Congleton and doing the removal there might be a lot more fun - plus a bunch of people around to save my newbie arse from making any catastrophic mistakes. However I couldn't see (though may have missed) anything about aluminium welding mentioned on the thread so far - is it something that Ray & co have the kit for?

Sorry i don't have a tig welder a few folk buy a s/h sump and have the baffle welded in that so the swap can be done the same day. if you had the sump ready then you're welcome to come down one Sat but you would have to keep an eye on this thread as sprint and hillclimb season has started and we compete on a few Saturdays

I'll probably do the setup locally then... might pop over to help out on some other work when I get the next free Saturday and my long suffering wife will agree to look after the kids
