As I have lost track of the price of things, £7500 for a gearbox, £1500+ for a clutch,ect, ect. I have no idea what my 6500 mile Gearbox is worth.Whatever it is worth it will just go towards laying of the price of the Quaife.

Does anybody have an idea what it should fetch?

 

Ebay prices between £400 and £900 depending.

I find searching the "completed listings" on Ebay more useful in knowing how to price an item, the only gearbox that has actually sold was for £300.

 

Thanks Giff, I think if it's only going to fetch that I might aswell keep it as a spare.

 

If you do decide to sell then seeing as you are a member of the site it would be much wiser to do so on here thus avoiding the quite extortionate Ebay selling fees.

 

a second hand box tends to be 400 + exchange unit for a 40-60k unit, or 650 for the box on its own.

That's based on the two I looked into last autumn.

The most expensive gearboxes are listed for ages on e-bay. You might better keep it in case you decide (i doubt it ) to return the car back to stock and sell the expensive Quife gearbox.
