I know that loads of the older cars had the 'bag of spanners' clutch vibration noise when decelerating in 3rd gear from 4k-3.5k revs.

My car has had the clutch plate replaced to resolve this, but I now getting the same noise when decelerating from 4.5k - 4k revs and when I accelerate hard. Its not really loud (but is annoying).

I am taking it to Brighton Honda on Thursday for them to have a look and to replace the rattling roof clips but I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem???



Changing the subject completely.... I fitted the leather centre console cover (purchased from Colin) at the weekend and am really chuffed with the results! - nice one mate!

- I also took the opportunity to disconnect the headlight washer, so no more cold screenwash showers for me!!

Good, glad your pleased, just get the leather gear stick gaiter to finish it off. When I picked up the new one I couldnt beleive how shite the plastic one really is. The day after I posted it, I received a clients books by the same method of post and the packaging was ripped to peices. I was starting to get visions of an unhappy Dominic with a console cover in ribbons. The clutch problem should go if they fit the 055 clutch, I had two old style clutches and an 055 in the last S.
