Really sorry to hear this Umesh and as Nick says there does seem to be something about Bristol at the moment.

Make sure you get it sent to Brin Jones then yours can keep mine company Oh and do you want the name of the company who sent me the Boxster?

But joking aside, Tim and I both hope you get this sorted satisfactorily.

Glad to hear that you are ok - ish though.

Any news?

I would have thought your insurance company should have confirmed that the other party is insured by now....

It's getting to that time of the year for crashes. Worse when it wasn't even your fault but another RWD driven without respect for the conditions.

I hope it will be resolved to your satisfaction.

I'm confused. is it the taxi driver or the Z4M driver who is denying this accident ever happened??

AFAIK it's two separate accidents, Umesh's is "OK" (if you can ever call an accident OK), but the other one is having issues with the taxi driver.

Hi Umesh

Just seen SarahB who told me about your accident - haven't been on the forum for a few days.

Glad you're OK-ish and hope the bump's gone down.

I'm sure there's enough big mates in the Bristol group to help you out !

Hi folks, thanks for all the support

Just as an update (sorry been busy and fuming ), the latest on Friday was that the 3rd party insurers have disputed liability, surprise surprise

In the meantime, I'm having to get the repairs done through my own policy and let the insurers/solicitors fight it out. I am willing to say to them that I'll give evidence in court if it gets to that stage but hopefully it won't...they have my report with maps/diagrams and photos of my skid marks starting from my lane which hopefully will help them with the case. As I said I didn't have a decent enough camera to take pictures as was so had to wait for a proper camera with flash to capture the road etc.

As the Bristol peeps have suggested it's currently at Brin Jones awaiting an estimate for my insurers to give the nod to. The last time I saw, it was keeping a watchful eye over Sarah's car in the lock-up sitting on the back of the recovery truck. I said it was unsafe to drive with the driver's door being jammed closed so they took it away.

My insurers have offered me a hire car like-for-like (similar spec) so they say but I haven't taken it yet as I don't really need it for the timebeing and it's sod's law that if they don't resolve it then I'll end up footing the bill

So that's where it stands - my head is okay from the bump, it's now dealing with the aftermath that's doing my head in

P.S. for those craving the gory pics, sorry i'll post them soon as they are on my other laptop
