Default Hardtop wiring guide

Hi guys,

So I purchased a hardtop and the relevant fitting kit awhile back (with the fitting kit coming off a pre-facelift model by the looks of all the extra wires). Now the wiring loom behind the passenger seat had a different plug to the one on the fitting kit, so I just had a good guess and used some spade connectors to connect the lot, and the demister doesnt work. I'll go and double-check the wiring tomorrow morning, but just thought I'd ask here for help as I need the demist to work incase it starts to piss down on the druid's run on Sunday. So!

1. My fitting kit came with wires that hang out from the two plastic panels (where the brushes are at the top?) as well as the main wiring loom and hardtop wire (curly?). Am I correct in thinking that these are not necessary as I have a facelift model and these wires are redundant.

2. On the guide that I'm reading, its for the earlier cars again, but it mentions requiring a relay. I'll double-check after work, but is this necessary on our facelift models?

3. Anything else you guys can think off?

Tomorrow, I need to get this sorted out. Will look into going into my local factors and seeing if they have some good GL5 fluid for the diff as that hasnt been changed, then if I have some free time I'll look at installing my UEGO and possibly the EMS unit; but this may all be postponed to a following weekend if the hardtop takes too long to fix.

Your help is appreciated
