Default Head unit recommendations

Looking for a good head unit that will come with Bluetooth, USB and sd slots and I'd quite like DAB radio too. I'd also prefer it to have a CD player, as I know there are some available these days that don't. Is it possible to also get one that's compatible with the dash controls too?

I've got a budget of around £100-120 so any recommendations would be great.

Cheers

Not got SD slots or DAB but had one of these installed earlier in the year and love it. Although the new speakers will have probably had more to do with it if I'm honest. If you're upgrading the stereo, you really need to upgrade the dodgy OEM speakers. (Don't forget the lead to connect to the dash controls too)

That looks interesting. Cheers. I can probably do without sd and dab tbh, but would be and added bonus. How much are the dash control leads?

What speakers did you put in?

JL Audio TR650-CSi 6.5" Component speakers.

You can pick up the lead on ebay for about £20-£25 I think. Ought to do a search on here for the correct lead. The first one the company I used got in wasn't the correct one.

I paid about £250-£260 including installation and the improvement in sound is unbelieveable.

No worries.

One thing....at first I used to play my music via bluetooth from my phone until the guy who installed it said you lose sound quality that way. As I didnt want wires hanging out the front or from the rear I bought one of these and filled with music. It plugs in at the front and the radio flap still closes no problem. Perfect.

Yes they do http://www.halfords.com/sat-nav-audi...000-multistalk

Best bet is to go in and ask for the correct parts, as you will need an additional patch lead which is particular to your make of head unit.

Halfords fitted mine at the beginning of the year :

Made an appointment , went shopping for an hour , paid and drove off with it fitted and working .
