Helpful man. Cheers. Just one more thing, will halfords sell the correct leads? I have a gift card to use with them, so be a bonus if so!!
Halfords fitted mine at the beginning of the year :

Made an appointment , went shopping for an hour , paid and drove off with it fitted and working .
How much in total please mate, what HU did you go for?

You can pick up the lead on ebay for about £20-£25 I think. Ought to do a search on here for the correct lead. The first one the company I used got in wasn't the correct one.

I paid about £250-£260 including installation and the improvement in sound is unbelieveable.
so you just replaced your door speakers with these...straight swap?

interesting thread, im looking to replace my HU soon for one with Bluetooth/handsfree etc

I've recently installed a Blaupunkt 420 BT, works really well and works with all dash controls (mute button needs some soldering tho!). Got it for £96 from Amazon shipped from Germany and £25 for dash control interface from eBay.

It doesn't have too many flashing lights either unlike most of the others out there.

No DAB tho!!

I had the HU in the link .

Halfords had to order the correct lead in so knew which one and charged £25 to fit it all including a mic for the hands free and a windscreen mounted DAB ariel .

Although there is 2 USB's mounted on the back of the unit a cable is only supplied for one ( routed into the passenger side net) so you will need to get another one if you want 2 .

No, it doesn't work, but just have a look at the link address. Elementary, Watson!
