Default Header Question

Basically i bought my s2000 with an aftermarket Header already installed onto it. The header looks just like a Japspeed (crapspeed) Manifold but i cannot see any branding on it. Now long story short is that the manifold touches the steering rack and is driving me crazy, so im thinking about buying a standard header and f@#king this one off. So how well do the standard manifolds perform? and would you expect i would lose any performance from reverting back to OEM over a cheap aftermarket Header?

Manifold looks exactly like this:[attachment=85659:$_57.JPG]

The standard exhaust manifolds flow very well, it's just they weigh a lot.

Another option would be to fit an ETD which would prevent the manifold from making contact with the steering column.

In all honesty you will probably gain HP by putting the standard manifold back on the car.

Ive looked into them but im not sure if it will fully fix the problem as the manifold is pretty much touching the steering rack all the time.

Yeah your probably right. With how cheap OEM manifold are it mite be worth just getting one and see it makes the car feel any worse

I was looking at their site and it appears not much R&D happens at Japspeed

I've just managed to pick up a OEM Header off an 05 Plate car for £43. I'll let you all know if it affects performance at all
