I believe any clear coat with UV protection will work, I used Hycote and had it on the car for 3 years before I sold it

The guy is shocked at once seeing $250 replacement headlights, he would have passed out if he looked up the price of S2000 headlights on Lings!

North of £500 each from memory... makes that $10 per light fix seem even better value

It doesn't mention plastics as a base material, and says it is solvent based.

On the back of the can, it says suitable for plastics, amongst other materials.
I have just put three coats on my lights, and they haven't melted. Well, not from the clear coat. Maybe from the heat.
I'll give them a 3000 grade wet sand in a few days when it's hardened up.

This is why I just use the mothers kit out of the box. Sure, it just fades back in a couple of months, then I just spend 10 minutes buffing them back out again and they look like new I typically do mine 3 times a year with that stuff and they look great for 2-3 months. From Nov - April it just sits in the garage anyways.
