pm Mikey K about the roll-hoop speaker housing. Much better than the headrest speakers - plus you can put your own choice of speakers in. I've got them on mine and it sounds great

Nick, don't do it - upgrade your door panel speakers. See Mikey's sig for details. Far better sonic improvement than sticking more overpriced paper cones from Honda (I may bring a OEM speaker to a meet to show the newbies just how shite the OEM speakers are!).

Roll hoop speakers

Mike your V3 set is ready when you are! I'm moving next week so let me know when you are back!
Craig is spot on! Do the door ones first! Even if it is just the speakers. I would do the door speakers and HU. Then the roll hoops, then an amp (with capacity for a sub) and finally a sub is you are that way inclined
The Honda roll hoop speakers are small (~2") twins almost tweeter size so are never going to move much air or give much clarity. So pretty much point less as you really want them to deliver good sound quality you can hear with the roof down! Problem is the bigger the speaker the better the clarity so I have squeezed 5.25" components in to mine as per the pics in Mikes link. In hind sight it would have looked tidier with 5.25" coaxials, any smaller compromises the quality IMHO. With the seat in place you can't really see the speakers any way! The V3 sets are predilled and cut for either component or coaxials and are really easy to fit. I put a set in SiCr's last night in 10 minutes.
Amped up right and set up right you can get a good sound stage and clarity at over 100 kmh with the roof down.
