Default Hello all !

Despite my account being created in 2009 I'm actually a newbie

Thought I would say hello as I plan to go and view my first S2000 tomorrow. I have been having a good read through the wealth of knowledge on here to make sure I'm clued up what to look for.

Bassoctopus posted a link on the Accord owners forum which has proved a great read !
https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/301...nical-faq-v21/

I was the owner of an Accord Type R for 4 years, but it was recently sold as I feel I needed a new direction and the S2000 is the obvious choice for me.

Few pics of the ATR which started out as your average family saloon and somehow managed to become a fast road/track car

Love your (ex) car.

It reads like you've been doing your homework and know what to look for. I hope tomorrow's viewing's successful. Remember to post some pictures when you've bought it.

The chassis and H22a7 in the accord are brilliant as standard. Basic engine mods released a little power but adding a decent manifold provided some nice power gains (for N/A). Coilovers, 16 inch wheels, sticky rubber, stipped interior with a half cage and decent brake pads went a long way. I have no shame in saying on many track days I was the weakest link and not the car

Gearbox's are a weakpoint on the ATR so I had it rebuilt with a lower final drive and some altered ratios which made a huge difference to in gear acceleration !

Not really looking to do any track days in the S2K apart from the yearly trip to the Nurburgring. For anyone who hasn't been it needs to be on your bucket list.

Hi Rhys. Glad you made it over.

You should have both ATR and S2000 (and a DC2 too for good measure )

Welcome

Hey buddy

Really liked the car but didn't buy, I feel its a little overpriced. Thinking about going back down tomorrow for a look in the dry.
It looked amazing in red !!!

You're in a buyers market at the moment. Try and establish how long it's been for sale. People start to get a bit desperate to sell these cars in the winter and there are bargains to be had.

There are some bargains to be had so be patient and you will find a good one, to give you an idea I paid £6000 for my 2004 facelift GT with 60230 miles, full Honda history and 1 owner since 4 months old, although personally Honda history is not something I'd pay over the odds for.
