Hi All,

In desperate help...........

driving home from work today, and a noise started, I have no idea what it is,

I've attached a quick sound clip,
I'm praying it's TCT or cat.........

I started a new job Monday and need this car to get to work........

hope some one can help diagnose

 

I cant load the file mate. Discribe the noise... if its a nagging sound.... its a wife.... simple exchange job done.... lol.

Sounds like it could be a heat shield rattle. I had to replace a bolt on mine the other week.

 

as in CAT heatshield???

I just ordered a Berk HFC yesterday, so that would be ok

Yes mate, it would be good if you could get underneath it and have a root around, it's fairly obvious when you have bolts missing, if u haven't got any missing then start knocking all along the exhaust and you should find the source of the rattle.

 

think I found it.........

I fitted a ETD about a month ago, and just found the bracket on the engine is loose !!!!.....

if you give it some wiggle it knocks on the Mani heatshield,

i'll tighten it back up, and see how it is tomorrow, and at the weekend i'll get a spring washer and locktite to secure it a bit better
